Willamette MBA Microsite

The MBA department at Willamette University was looking for a way to garner more attention to their specific programs. With the MBA section not as prominent as they’d like on the main university website, they were looking for a way to get some additional recognition online as a part of the larger “Never Settle” MBA-focused campaign they were running. The main site also had a very traditional feel to it, and they were looking to expand their demographic a bit and make a distinction between their ‘Early Career’ and ‘Professional’ MBA options.
DHX suggested a responsive microsite specifically focused on the MBA programs as part of the integrated “Never Settle” campaign, which featured other media including online display advertising, print, airport banner ads and Tri-Met bus wraps. After our research, including the review of a number of popular MBA department sites and comparing enrollment numbers and rankings, we knew we wanted a more contemporary look and feel, yet that stilled tied in with their branding. We pushed for video testimonials, but had to settle for a photo shoot with graduate stories instead, which are featured on the desktop site.
We wanted to utilize QR codes in the advertising once the site launched, so it was imperative that website also be mobile-friendly. The mobile version (not responsive) of the site also includes a modified content set tailored to users on mobile devices.
